From the mid 1920s to the 1950s, some of the best radio programs originated from Detroit, Chicago and New York City. As public interest in radios increased and sales in radio sets skyrocketed, radio soon became an “All-American past time.” Historians Al and Dave Eicher present the history of the first commercial radio stations and the programs of the era.
