This is a virtual event: an access link will be emailed to registrants on the day of the program.

Veteran, Stephanie Zarb, will present an overview of the history of women in the military – including stories from several amazing women veterans from Michigan. She will talk about unique challenges facing women in the military and veteran communities. She will also discuss why it’s so hard for Michigan veterans (both men and women) to access their Federal (VA) benefits compared to veterans in other states.

Stephanie Zarb, Michigan native, commissioned into the Air Force in 2006 and served 5 years as an Air Battle Manager aboard US E-3 AWACS Aircraft, including two tours in the Middle East. Post-service, she managed a state-wide non-profit that focused on finding veterans in their local communities and connecting them to needed benefits. Through that process Stephanie learned how difficult it is for Michigan’s veterans to connect, and has become a well-known veteran advocate pushing state government officials to rethink veteran policy in Michigan.

Registration and email address is required because a Zoom link will be sent to registrants the day of the program.
